Which type of wood should you choose?
When selecting the plywood for your project, it's essential to consider the specific use and desired location.
Poplar wood:
This wood type is light and resistant, making it ideal for indoor climbing wall construction. Thanks to its ease of handling and durability, it's an excellent choice for your indoor climbing wall.
Birch phenolic plywood:
If your project requires covered outdoor exposure, birch phenolic plywood is a good choice. It's made from moisture-resistant resins and offers considerable resistance to damp and changing conditions.
Phenolic resin-bonded plywood:
For outdoor use in weather-exposed conditions, phenolic resin-bonded plywood is highly recommended. Thanks to its robust construction and phenolic resin treatment, it withstands adverse weather conditions well, ensuring durability and weather resistance. Choosing the right wood ensures that the materials meet the specific requirements of the environment and extends the lifespan of your climbing wall.
